Infosys opens new techfin hub in GIFT City, India

GUJARAT, INDIA — Infosys, a digital services and consulting services provider, has inaugurated a new Development Center (DC) at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar.
The facility, designed to accommodate over 1,000 employees in a hybrid working model, is set to serve as a key TechFin hub, delivering advanced digital solutions to global banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) clients.
The center will focus on digital banking, regulatory affairs, trade finance, capital markets, cards and payments, as well as risk and compliance management, leveraging cutting-edge technologies including AI, Gen AI, cloud, cybersecurity, API, and blockchain to provide seamless cross-border digital services and strengthen India’s position as a global financial technology powerhouse.
Leadership and vision
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, alongside Infosys leadership, including Chief Financial Officer Jayesh Sanghrajka.
“This marks a landmark moment and reflects the unique potential of Gujarat’s flagship financial and technological ecosystem,” said Chief Minister Patel. He added that the center would “generate valuable employment opportunities and accelerate Gujarat’s journey towards becoming a global leader in next-generation digital infrastructure and financial technology.”
Infosys CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka emphasized, “Setting up our Development Centre in GIFT City is a strategic step aligned with our vision of leading innovation in financial services from within India’s foremost international financial hub.”
Aside from Infosys, another professional services company, Cognizant, has also launched a new techfin center in GIFT City.
