Infosys, Telenor Shared Services partner to modernize HR tech

BENGALURU, INDIA, and ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — Infosys has partnered with Telenor Shared Services (TSS) to modernize the company’s human resources (HR) operations.
The partnership will implement Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) to streamline TSS’s HR processes, improving employee experience and operational efficiency across the global business services organization.
Infosys to modernize TSS’ HR operations
Infosys is a global technology and consulting firm specializing in cloud and AI-driven digital transformation. The company employs more than 320,000 people and operates in 59 countries, helping businesses adopt agile digital capabilities through its AI-first approach.
The company also ranked #11 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies.
Infosys brings extensive experience in managing global enterprise systems to its partnership with TSS, a key shared services organization within the Telenor Group.
TSS, the business services arm of the Telenor Group, provides enterprise systems and support services to enhance operational efficiency and improve the employee experience. Its core services include finance and accounting, human resources, customer support, and enterprise IT solutions such as end-user computing and process automation.
The partnership supports TSS’s mission to help Telenor Nordics meet its business objectives more efficiently.
Driving efficiency through digital integration
The project also includes the integration of Human Capital Management, Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, and Project Portfolio Management systems.
This is an end-to-end digital integration designed to streamline operations that hinder large organizations with a more integrated operational structure.
This unified approach directly targets improved data quality and decision-making capabilities. With critical data moving across departmental boundaries with ease, TSS will have access to more comprehensive dashboards and enhanced analytics.
The ensuing transparency and insights would transform how the company relates with its partners, suppliers, and employees, which would eventually make the operation efficient and effective.
“Modernizing our HR operations is crucial to improve efficiencies and employee experience. By collaborating with Infosys to implement Oracle Cloud HCM, we are confident we will get a solution that meets our future needs,” said Morten Dean Dunham, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Telenor Shared Services.
“This change will further streamline our processes, provide a unified view of critical data, and ultimately enhance the experience of our employees,” she added.
Forging advantage via strategic partnerships
This collaboration highlights a shift where outsourcing is leveraged for deep, strategic expertise in navigating complex digital transformations. TSS, itself a service organization, has chosen Infosys not just for implementation but for its deep Oracle expertise to overcome significant data and system integration challenges.
It means that businesses are seeking partners who can deliver specialized knowledge to de-risk and accelerate considerable technology changes, making the service provider an essential change agent.
The collaboration is focused on creating a long-term competitive advantage, rather than just short-term solutions.
Upendra Kohli, Executive Vice President (EVP) of Communication, Media and Technology (Americas & Europe) at Infosys, indicated that the project will make TSS the leader in HR change, which is also reflected in the words of Oracle, which added that it will enable TSS to stay ahead of the competition.
“By leveraging our robust HCM cloud solution, we’re helping TSS to standardize and streamline their HR processes to improve employee productivity and enhance employee experience,” said Yvette Cameron, Senior Vice President (SVP), Global HCM Product Strategy at Oracle.
“This collaboration will help organizations harness the full potential of embedded AI and cloud technology to transform business processes and stay ahead of competition.”
The focus on leveraging embedded AI and cloud technology to transform business processes confirms that the expected outcome is a sustainable market edge derived from a modernized operational core.
“This unique approach positions TSS at the forefront of HR transformation, driving a competitive advantage in the market,” concludes Kohli.
This partnership underscores a fundamental shift in outsourcing, where service providers like TSS now seek partners like Infosys not for mere cost reduction, but for the deep strategic expertise required to build a lasting competitive advantage.
