MUNICH, GERMANY and BENGALURU, INDIA — Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, has partnered with zooplus SE, Europe’s online pet retailer.

The collaboration will seek to enhance zooplus’s e-commerce and process capabilities by establishing a Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad, India.

Leveraging Infosys Topaz for advanced e-commerce solutions

Infosys will offer its AI-first platform, Infosys Topaz, to support zooplus in digitalizing its e-commerce operations. With the partnership, zooplus will transform marketing, the supply chain, and customer experience through advanced AI technologies.

“Collaborating with zooplus to establish this new GCC in Hyderabad underscores Infosys’ commitment to driving digital transformation at scale for our clients,” said Karmesh Vaswani, Executive Vice President & Global Head of Consumer, Retail & Logistics, Infosys.

“By leveraging Infosys Topaz, we will empower zooplus to realize their full potential and also position them at the forefront of excellence in digital commerce and marketing.”

Infosys has more than 300,000 employees working for clients in 56 countries. The company has reported good financial results for the second quarter ending September 30, 2024. The revenues stood at $4.89 billion, with a sequential growth of 3.1% and a year-on-year increase of 3.3% in constant currency.

Strengthening presence in Europe and India

The new GCC in Hyderabad will be a technological hub, implementing a new order management system and enhancing operational efficiency. This move represents a significant step in Infosys’ strategic focus on Europe, where zooplus has become a dominant force with a comprehensive online platform catering to pet owners.

“Our collaboration with Infosys to establish our new technology hub is a strategic decision driven by their AI-first strategies combined with expertise in delivering AI-powered solutions, with Infosys Topaz,” said Geoffroy Lefebvre, Chief Executive Officer, zooplus SE.

“We are confident that through this collaboration we will unlock greater operational efficiencies, enhance customer experience, and stay ahead in the competitive e-commerce landscape.”

Zooplus operates in 30 European countries, offering pet supplies, food, and accessories through its digital marketplace. The strategic focus of data-driven growth from the company resonates well with Infosys’ technological capabilities.
