Inherent Group acquires Systonic to boost sovereign cloud capabilities

PARIS, FRANCE — Inherent group, a French B2B cloud and connectivity services provider backed by Keensight Capital, has acquired Systonic, a French regional specialist in sovereign cloud solutions.
This move represents inherent’s fourth acquisition of the year, following earlier deals involving devensys cybersecurity, Conexio Telecom, and Everlink. It also further solidifies inherent’s goal to establish itself as a premier provider of cloud, connectivity, and cybersecurity services throughout Europe.
The transaction is expected to enhance inherent’s portfolio, particularly in the area of managed services and data sovereignty, at a time when demand for secure, compliant cloud solutions is surging across regulated industries.
Systonic’s strength in sovereign cloud
Founded in 1989 and headquartered near Bordeaux, Systonic is recognized for its secure hosting and managed IT infrastructure services.
The company serves a diverse client base, with 60% from the private sector and 40% from local authorities. Systonic employs around 30 people and reported annual revenues of approximately €5 million (US$5.8 million).
Its offerings include sovereign hosting, managed architectures in data centers, domain name management, and website development. Systonic is also noted for its strong commitment to digital security and ethical standards.
Integration to deliver end-to-end digital solutions
The acquisition will see Systonic integrated into Adista, one of Inherent’s four main brands. Damien Delavie, President of Systonic, will take on the role of Director of Cloud and Infrastructure at Adista.
The move increases inherent’s data center count in France to 16, reinforcing its infrastructure and enabling the group to offer a broader range of services, from connectivity to cloud and cybersecurity.
Pierre-Jean Beylier, President of inherent group, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Systonic to the inherent group. Systonic has been operating in Nouvelle-Aquitaine for over 30 years and enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its services. This integration will allow us to strengthen our local presence and continue to develop our cloud offering, with the same objective: to support local areas throughout their digital transformation.”
Damien Delavie, President of Systonic, added, “We are proud to join a successful and growing group that masters all services in the IT value chain for its clients.”
Industry reaction and strategic outlook
Industry observers note that the acquisition underscores the growing importance of sovereign cloud offerings in the managed services sector. As organizations grapple with evolving data protection regulations, the ability to provide localized, compliant, and resilient cloud services is becoming a key differentiator.
According to the official announcement, “This acquisition creates an opportunity to deliver a unified, end-to-end solution to Systonic’s customers, encompassing connectivity, cloud services, and cybersecurity.” The deal is expected to accelerate inherent’s growth trajectory and set a new standard for outsourcing and cloud services in the region.
