Five to nine weeks to make vibe-coded software production-ready: Instinctools

STUTTGART, GERMANY — Software development firms are building remediation practices around AI-generated codebases as companies that built on tools like Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, and Claude Code discover a consistent gap: the prototype runs, but the architecture cannot survive real-world load, ownership transfer, or a security review.

Instinctools, a software development firm with offices in the United States, Germany, Poland, Kazakhstan, and India, introduced a structured audit and stabilization service on August 3 for companies seeking to bring “vibe-coded” prototypes to production standard.

“Vibe coding” refers to software built primarily through AI prompting, with the model generating most or all of the code.

Eight dimensions, five to nine weeks to production

Instinctools audits incoming codebases across eight dimensions: infrastructure, business logic, architecture, data model, codebase quality, security, performance, and a cost-benefit analysis of technical debt against the effort to fix it.

The full engagement runs five to nine weeks: one to two weeks on audit, roughly a week on a stabilization plan and technical priority matrix, then three to six weeks of remediation sprints, ending with a codebase the client team can independently manage, extend, and scale.

Deliverables include structured documentation and a dedicated repository.

Remediation work spans separating modules and eliminating circular dependencies, removing unused and duplicate code, adding test coverage for critical components, addressing security vulnerabilities, and building CI/CD pipelines with rollback capabilities and quality gates.

“Coding was always about a quarter of the road from idea to launch, and generation made that quarter cheap. The other three quarters did not get cheaper,” said Alexey Spas, founder and CEO of Instinctools.

Production pressure lands hardest where nobody can explain the code

Teams reach Instinctools at one of two moments: when a prototype encounters its first significant real-world load and the architecture cannot answer production-scale questions, or when ownership must transfer to engineers who did not write the original code.

Many teams discover the architecture’s limits only after launch, when problems surface in a live system carrying real users, real workloads, and real data.

The firm works with companies at both ends: teams that assembled an MVP in days and engineering organizations introducing agentic development into an existing software development life cycle.

“What we see is strain landing on review, integration and maintenance all at once, and it lands hardest where nobody can explain why a line of code is there. Before we can fix an AI-generated codebase, we often have to reconstruct what its author meant,” Spas said.

The pattern extends a market dynamic that Accenture and Replit described in April: AI-assisted development compresses the coding phase, but review, integration and maintenance absorb the savings at a different point in the development cycle.

For buyers considering outsourcing the remediation work to a global team, Instinctools draws delivery staff from its offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia, providing coverage across time zones. The audit-to-stabilization process is detailed on Instinctools’ Vibe Code Audit & Cleanup page.
