India’s iSON plans Philippine investment

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — India’s iSON Group has committed to a US$300 million investment in the Philippines spanning telecommunications infrastructure, digital healthcare, and business process outsourcing operations, with Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go confirming that the Department of Finance held active discussions with the company on its expansion plans.
iSON deploys $65M on towers, eyes BPO and digital healthcare
iSON Xperiences, the business process outsourcing (BPO) and customer experience management arm of iSON Group, operates across 19 countries with more than 18,000 employees managing over 500 million transactions monthly.
Through its iSON Tower subsidiary, the group has deployed US$65 million (₱3.9 billion) of its total commitment, building 450 telecommunications towers in the Philippines with a target of constructing 3,000 or more towers nationwide at a pace of 300 to 400 annually.
The group plans to launch new onshore and offshore BPO operations in the Philippines and to enter the digital healthcare sector as additional verticals within its Philippine expansion.
The total US$300 million commitment unfolds across telecommunications, clean energy, agriculture, and BPO, with approximately 22% already deployed.
iSON’s partnership with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority covers a US$50 million modern farming project and a US$200 million agro-solar initiative with a 400-megawatt capacity, alongside a 40-megawatt solar installation at New Clark City in Tarlac.
“We have understood the art of doing business here. The opportunities are tremendous,” said Vivek Gupta, Chair at iSON.
DOF confirms engagement on Philippine investment expansion
iSON’s BPO and digital healthcare expansion arrives as the Philippines positions itself as a preferred destination for Indian technology companies, with the Finance Secretary’s direct involvement in iSON discussions reflecting government-level support for the investment program.
The Department of Finance confirmed that iSON Group met with officials to discuss growth and investment opportunities across the company’s Philippines businesses, with Go identifying job creation and industry strengthening as the key outcomes of continued engagement.
Artificial intelligence (AI) integration and digital healthcare services represent iSON’s planned value-added expansion in the Philippines, extending the company’s footprint beyond physical telecommunications infrastructure into the country’s high-growth services sector.
“The Department of Finance is committed to creating an environment where investments can translate into better opportunities for Filipinos. With active discussion with investors, we can unlock new investments, create quality jobs for the Filipino workforce, and strengthen key industries,” said Frederick D. Go, Finance Secretary.
For buyers evaluating top BPO companies in Asia, iSON Group’s US$300 million commitment and active DOF engagement signal a supportive environment for foreign BPO operators expanding Philippine delivery capacity.
iSON Xperiences’ 19-country footprint and 18,000-person workforce position it among the larger BPO entrants in a market targeting US$42 billion in IT-BPM revenue by 2026.
Its simultaneous investment in telecommunications infrastructure, clean energy, and digital healthcare creates a vertically integrated delivery foundation that most standalone BPO expansions do not provide.
