IT-BPM firms continue hiring despite Covid-19
IT-BPM companies in Cebu have not have stopped hiring people even as other industries have already reduced operations due to the threat of Covid-19. Human resource consulting firm Aleph Talent Solutions noted that the demand for online services and customer service has increased since the global pandemic.
The company’s president, Connie Carey, said Aleph continues to hire workers for their BPM and IT partners, while clients from other industries have stopped hiring due to the current situation.
IT and outsourcing firms are among the biggest job generators in Cebu, employing some 170,000 workers. There will always be jobs, and companies will continue to hire, Carey said.
