Jamaica to launch ‘Upsource Jamaica’ at upcoming tech conference
KINGSTON, JAMAICA — Caribbean nation Jamaica is preparing to unveil its new investment concept called Upsource Jamaica at Collision 2023.
The launch of Upsource Jamaica is set against a backdrop of the country’s impressive rankings on international business advantage metrics and its ambitious National Investment Policy.
Jamaica — fast gaining a reputation as an emerging logistics powerhouse — aims to attract global businesses who want to join other Fortune 500 companies already flourishing on their shores.
The country presents a compelling proposition from its strategic location — mere hours away from Miami, Toronto, and London — to its state-of-the-art infrastructure bolstered by advancements like Starlink’s high-speed satellite internet. Coupled with its stable economy and government, the country is rolling out the red carpet for a new wave of global businesses.
Another key draw is its Special Economic Zones which provide an optimal ecosystem that has fueled exponential growth in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO), Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES), logistics, and creative Industries.
