Jamaica’s BPO sector set to return to pre-COVID-19 peak – Shaw

Jamaica’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry is on its way to returning to its pre-coronavirus (COVID-19) peak, said Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Hon. Audley Shaw.
According to Shaw, there is an indication that the BPO sector will pick up on its previous trajectory of 16 to 18 percent annual growth. Jamaica’s advantages as a prime outsourcing destination and skilled talents “continue[] to encourage business expansion from current players and attract new interest.”
Shaw is projecting an additional 3,000 new BPO jobs in the near future.
