JG Summit to utilize AI

Philippine-based conglomerate JG Summit Holdings is looking to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to further grow its businesses and become the first “truly digital conglomerate in the Philippines.”
In a statement, the firm said that they are working with tech giants Infosys and Microsoft to adopt AI in their monitoring and operations control.
They added that this will increase the company’s productivity “in the coming years.”
The holding company announced over the weekend that it has secured its digital future with a full migration to the Cloud.
The digital transformation of the Gokongwei Group, composed of JG Summit, Robinsons Retail Holdings, and Summit Media, started in 2018, with a holistic data center modernization project that saw the conglomerate migrating its main data center in the Philippines to the cloud, it said.
In 2019, JG Summit partnered with Infosys and Microsoft as part of its digital transformation journey.
The Gokongwei Group also partnered with ePLDT to gain access to its colocation services called VITRO Data Center which hosts their critical IT infrastructure in a world-class data center facility.
