Job opportunities up 13% in Q3

Job opportunities in the Philippines rose by 13% in the third quarter of the year compared to Q2, according to the global recruitment specialist Michael Page Philippines.
In the firm’s job opportunity data, a 37% growth was noted in the technology sector, followed by engineering and manufacturing with 32% and finance with 10%.
Michael Page Philippines Regional Director Albert Pérez said that this increase was due to companies continuing with their “previously-paused business plan.”
Pérez stated that the majority of open positions are at the middle to top management level as businesses try to manage the “transformation brought about by the pandemic.”
Tech experts with specific field experience are currently in demand due to the implementation of a complete remote work setup.
Similarly, the expansion of the manufacturing industry to electronics and luxury goods has generated new employment opportunities in the sector.
