Jobstreet names fully-recovered industries in PH
In its latest Job Outlook Report, online job platform Jobstreet revealed the top four industries in the Philippines that have fully recovered from the economic impacts of the pandemic.
In a press release, Jobstreet said that the computer and IT (software), education, health care, medical and telecommunication sectors have recovered to their pre-pandemic levels.
Since the pandemic started, digital industries —- particularly computer and IT —- have been very resilient despite the ongoing challenges brought by COVID-19. Job vacancies for software developer-related jobs grew by 83.3% as businesses started to utilize digital solutions in their operations.
Meanwhile, the rise of hybrid classes allowed teachers to teach from their homes. This, in turn, led to more teachers joining the cause and helping in the growth of the education sector amid the COVID-19 crisis.
The health care and medical sector also grew exponentially because of the pandemic and will continue to grow even after because of current trends.
Job posts for nurses grew the most at 45.3%, while the government aimed to hire an additional 10,000 health care workers to help heal the nation.
Further, junior executive positions in the telecommunication sector made up the most significant number of job posts at 52.55%, while job posts specializing in sales and marketing increased the most at 76%.
