Liberia enters global call center market with BNS Technology Solutions

PAYNESVILLE, LIBERIA — BNS Technology Solutions, a Liberian-owned business technology company, has launched the country’s first international outbound and inbound call center.
The facility, located near Rehab Junction in Paynesville, began operations on June 7, 2024, with the capacity to handle 60 to 100 calls simultaneously.
Service offerings and employment opportunities
BNS Call Centers provides a range of professional services tailored to various business needs, including customer and technical support, sales and telemarketing, order processing, and appointment scheduling.
It primarily targets U.S.-based customers and businesses, offering both inbound and outbound services to international clients.
“Our vision is to establish Liberia as a competitive player in the global call center market,” said Ambrose Sartee, a co-partner of BNS Technology Solutions.
The call center aims to create jobs for up to 120 local youths, addressing unemployment challenges in the country.
Expanding Liberia’s economic horizons
Ernest Freeman, CEO of BNS Technology Solutions, shared the company’s journey from its initial focus on U.S. government technology contracts to establishing the call center in Liberia.
Freeman credited Sartee for driving the initiative, recognizing its potential to contribute significantly to Liberia’s economic development through job creation and infrastructure enhancement.
“We started as a technology company, and BNS Technology Company aimed to apply for technology contracts with the U.S. government and also the city government,” Freeman explained.
“But in doing so, Ambrose had a vision for Liberia.”
- Nelson Williams, Board Chairman, also encouraged other Liberians to follow suit and contribute to national growth.
As the call center begins its operations, the Liberian government and private sector stakeholders will likely watch its progress closely, considering its potential to boost local employment and attract foreign investment.
The success of this initiative could pave the way for more such ventures, helping to solidify Liberia’s place in the global market for outsourced business services.
