LinkedIn allows permanent remote work
LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky announced that the company’s employees will be able to work remotely on a permanent basis following the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a blog post, Rolansky wrote that they have “learned every individual and every team works differently, so we’re moving away from a one-size-fits-all policy.”
The Silicon Valley firm noted that it will not be closing its offices to embrace “flexibility with both hybrid and remote roles, expecting more of us to be remote than pre-Covid and removing the expectation of being in the office 50% of the time.”
An estimated 87% of the company’s 16,000 full-time workers said they would still like to go to the office sometimes.
The CEO added that the company is “continuing to invest in amazing workplaces for everyday work and those times when our teams come together.”
LinkedIn joins Twitter, Square, and Facebook in allowing its employees to work from home for good after the pandemic.
