LinkedIn integrates AI features across its platform
CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Professional networking platform LinkedIn announced this week it is incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) features across its services, including recruiting, learning, marketing and sales.
The AI upgrades leverage systems like ChatGPT and aim to provide LinkedIn users with enhanced recommendations, writing assistance and search capabilities.
“Recruiter 2024” utilizes AI to refine recruiters’ search criteria and generate improved candidate lists. The new “learning coach” chatbot gives career advice and course recommendations to LinkedIn Learning’s large userbase.
“Accelerate” streamlines LinkedIn marketing campaign management with AI. The updated sales search tool helps users identify and connect with prospective leads.
“HR leaders will need better data and tools to help their organizations adapt to change, on top of building relationships with candidates,” LinkedIn said in a blog.
LinkedIn, owned by AI partner Microsoft, had nearly 1 billion users and $15 billion revenue last year. The AI integration aligns with its strategy to stay competitive through cutting-edge technology.
Specific AI features include AI-assisted messaging in Recruiter and a personalized writing assistant for profiles. The “learning coach” chatbot answers user questions using course content.
LinkedIn’s rapid AI adoption leverages its distribution reach, data access and Microsoft partnership. This positions it to lead in AI-enhanced professional networking.
