Majorel acquires Suriname-based BPO

End-to-end customer experience (CX) solutions provider Majorel announced its acquisition of Suriname-based CX and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company Alembo.
The acquisition aligns with Majorel’s stated growth strategy of further geographic expansion, especially in countries that strengthen the company’s near- and offshore leverage.
Founded in 2005, Alembo is known in the industry as a provider of operational excellence for firms within the e-commerce, retail, medical, and cultural verticals. It currently employs more than 300 employees in Paramaribo, Suriname.
In a statement, Majorel CEO Thomas Mackenbrock called the acquisition an “another building block” in the company’s global expansion strategy.
He added, “We are delighted to welcome Frank and the entire Alembo team to the Majorel family.”
Majorel has purchased 100% of the share capital in Alembo from its founder and CEO, Frank Veldhuizen, who will continue to support Majorel with the growth of the business.
For his part, Veldhuize stated that this is a “really important” deal to help Alembo continue to thrive in Suriname and the world.
