Mass vaccination key to economic recovery – Diokno
Mass vaccination, which is seen to be accomplished by 2022, will be the key to the country’s economic recovery, said Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Benjamin E. Diokno.
In a televised news briefing, Diokno said that the country “can go back to where we were before, in 2019 and that is based on how fast we can deploy our vaccination.”
The BSP governor noted the optimistic views of businesses as indicated in the agency’s recent Business Expectations Survey. However, he emphasized that the government should prioritize creating jobs.
