Megaworld official vows to add 100K BPO employees in Bacolod

Megaworld Chief Strategy Officer Kevin Andrew Tan promised to add about 100,000 Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) employees in Bacolod City over the next five to 10 years.
During the inauguration of a new Megaworld Township called The Upper East, Tan said that they aim to open job opportunities for locals as more BPO companies expand in the city.
Tan added that they are committed “more than ever” to pour in investments across the country due to President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s mandate to create more jobs and for the confidence he has brought to the business community,
He added that investor confidence is currently at an all-time high. They are eager to bring their vision for The Upper East to fruition by strengthening their partnership with the Bacolod local government.
In Bacolod, the Megaworld official shared that they have invested a total of P45 billion (US$765 million), with P38 billion (US$646 million) allocated to develop The Upper East. This investment will allow them to generate more than 500,000 direct and indirect jobs in Negros Occidental.
