Monterail acquires Lakeview Labs in U.S. market expansion push

Monterail acquires Lakeview Labs in U.S. market expansion push

WARSAW, POLAND, and ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES — Monterail has acquired Chicago-based Lakeview Labs, marking its third strategic acquisition this year. The move strengthens Monterail’s native mobile development capabilities and expands its physical presence in the key United States market.

This acquisition is part of a deliberate strategy to build specialized expertise and consolidate the company’s position for its American clients.

This acquisition is a strategic move by Monterail to enhance its presence in North America by combining a European footprint with local knowledge of the U.S. market.

Monterail has been a software development partner in the last 15 years and has over 130 professionals who have completed over 1000 projects with 400 clients in high-stakes industries such as fintech and healthtech.

This deep bench of experience is strategically augmented by Lakeview Labs. Since 2014, the company has been developing scalable native mobile and web applications for American startups and mid-sized companies. This unified element is therefore well positioned to offer a unique combination of global scale and hyper-local market expertise.

Monterail’s U.S. market expansion

The acquisition of Lakeview Labs provides Monterail with a direct operational hub in a major American technology and business center.

This move is explicitly designed to strengthen its American presence and provide closer collaboration and localized expertise to its U.S. client base, moving beyond a remote service model.

This acquisition represents a tactical solution to the challenges of serving international clients remotely. The strategic location shortens the path to delivering value, allowing Monterail to build digital products more effectively within the same time zones and business culture, thereby deepening its roots in the North American market.

“With this move, we’re strengthening our Midwestern and U.S. market presence,” stated Szymon Boniecki, Co-Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Monterail in a LinkedIn post about the acquisition.

Deepening mobile and U.S. market expertise

The acquisition is centrally focused on capturing Lakeview Labs’ deep technical expertise in mobile development and its established U.S. market presence.

Lakeview Labs brings over a decade of specific experience in native mobile and web application development, a competency that Monterail explicitly sought to strengthen.

By integrating the established Lakeview Labs team, Monterail can offer American startups and mid-sized companies a more seamless and responsive experience.

Boniecki noted that this is not merely a team expansion but an effort to gain the “mobile expertise and U.S. market proximity that let us help American businesses build scalable digital products more effectively.” This directly addresses the need for localized, relevant development support for U.S. clients.

The move strategically combines Monterail’s global scale with localized U.S. insight, enabling the firm to serve a larger chunk of clients more directly and effectively from within a key market.
