NCR Plus still under GCQ, MECQ announced in other areas

NCR Plus, which includes the cities of Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal, has been put under an extended General Community Quarantine (GCQ) until July 31.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque shared a video with reporters that shows the areas of Bataan, Cagayan de Oro City, Davao Occidental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Sur, and Davao del Norte in the MECQ classification until the end of the month. Iloilo City and Iloilo province will only remain under the restriction until July 22.
Roque stated, “Kung hindi po mag-improve ang ating mga numero, posible po na mabago muli ang classification ng Iloilo City at Iloilo (If their numbers don’t improve, it’s possible that Iloilo City and Iloilo’s classification will change).”
Meanwhile, areas under GCQ “with heightened restrictions” until the end of the month include Cagayan province, Laguna, Lucena City, Naga City, Negros Oriental, Zamboanga del Sur, Davao City. Aklan, Bacolod, Antique, and Capiz are also restricted only until July 22.
Most cities and provinces in the country are classified now under GCQ and MGCQ (modified general community quarantine) until the end of July.
