NiCE to acquire Germany’s Cognigy in $955Mn AI CX deal

NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES — NiCE, a global provider of AI-driven customer experience, announced it will acquire Cognigy, a Germany-based enterprise platform specializing in conversational and agentic AI.
The deal is valued at approximately $955 million, including $50 million in time-bound holdbacks. It is expected to close in Q4 2025, pending regulatory approvals.
The acquisition, unanimously approved by NiCE’s board, combines NiCE’s CXone Mpower platform with Cognigy’s cutting-edge Cognigy.AI, aiming to accelerate AI-first transformation across customer service operations globally.

Combining CXone Mpower and Cognigy.AI
NiCE’s CXone Mpower platform delivers AI-powered solutions that automate customer engagement across industries in over 150 countries.
Cognigy, meanwhile, is known for its advanced AI agents that deliver hyper-personalized, multilingual service in more than 100 languages via voice and digital channels. These agents integrate conversational and generative AI to support both customer needs and contact center employees in real time.
Cognigy serves over 1,000 brands globally, including Mercedes-Benz, Nestlé, Lufthansa, and Bosch. It is projecting 80% annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth in 2026.

Expanding NiCE’s presence in European and global markets
With operations across more than 150 countries, NiCE employs thousands and has become a trusted AI platform provider across financial services, healthcare, retail, and public sectors.
Düsseldorf, Germany-based Cognigy, meanwhile, has built a strong partner network and continues to scale its enterprise-grade AI offerings.
The combined company will focus on deploying trusted AI across front- and back-office functions, bridging automation and human intelligence to elevate service outcomes.
