NTT DATA and AWS sign deal to accelerate cloud and AI adoption
TOKYO, JAPAN, and WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES — In a move to accelerate enterprise digital transformation, global IT services provider NTT DATA has entered a strategic multi-year collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The partnership aims to help organizations modernize legacy systems, adopt advanced agentic artificial intelligence (AI), and scale industry-specific innovation on AWS’s cloud platform.
As Abhijit Dubey, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NTT DATA, Inc., notes, “Through our Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with AWS, we are helping clients move beyond experimentation to scale AI impactfully and responsibly.”
Accelerating cloud migration with agentic AI
NTT DATA and AWS will also focus on accelerating the migration and modernization of mission-critical workloads by leveraging generative AI, automation, and data platforms to discover new business models.
The partnership will prioritize driving intelligent operations and developing secure cloud foundations that deliver quantifiable business results for customers in regulated and high-growth markets.
To execute this vision at scale, NTT DATA has established a dedicated AWS Business Group aligned with AWS’s structure. This team can count on approximately 11,000 existing AWS-certified professionals within NTT DATA, and this figure is expected to grow by close to 10,000 over the next three years.
This investment in experience will ensure the provision of custom solutions to the enterprise, as evidenced by NTT DATA’s successful migration of its client, Honda Trading Asia, to the AWS Cloud.

Industry-specific AI and sovereign cloud solutions
One of the main tenets of the collaboration is the creation of pre-built industry-cloud solutions that bundle compliance and innovation, enabling faster deployment.
“Through industry-aligned architecture platforms, AI-driven customer experiences, and support in meeting evolving regulatory requirements through the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, we’re enhancing the ability to transform legacy workloads and build modern digital experiences on AWS,” said Greg Pearson, Vice President of AWS Global Sales.
NTT DATA will use its Industry Cloud platform, which has more than 500 extensible business components and AI agents, to develop dozens of new AI-driven offerings in the financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors.
These solutions will streamline fundamental operations, including banking compliance, to secure health data platforms, reduce risk, and enhance operational efficiency.
The partnership also covers the region’s strict data regulations through a dedicated digital sovereignty agenda. NTT DATA will become a launch partner of the new European Sovereign Cloud by AWS, providing sovereign-by-design cloud solutions and managed services to European governments and enterprises.
This ensures clients comply with data residency and autonomy requirements without compromising AWS security or performance.
Additionally, the partners will modernize contact center solutions on Amazon Connect and run co-innovation programs to accelerate the global adoption of AI-driven customer experience solutions.

The company is ranked #24 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. The 2026 edition of the OA500 is expected to be released in March.
