Outposter names Bel Soria COO to lead global expansion

QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA — Outposter, a global outsourcing and remote staffing firm, has named Bel Soria as its Chief Operating Officer, celebrating her seven-year journey that began in 2018.
Resilient leadership guides Outposter through crisis
Soria’s rise to COO is rooted in resilience. When COVID hit and the business collapsed to just two people, herself and CEO Ben Pullen, Soria stayed.
The company rebranded from Ziggydesk to Outposter in 2020. “Everyone else was gone,” Soria recalled of the time. “But we didn’t stop. From that moment of stillness, we built something new—Outposter. With a clearer vision. A more human approach,” she said in a LinkedIn post.
Under her leadership, the company has nurtured a people-first culture shaped by empathy, steady growth, and long-term vision.
“My mission? Help one person at a time. Make someone’s work life better just because they’re part of my team,” Soria added.
Before joining Outposter, Soria worked in marketing and operations, building cross-functional experience that now serves her in managing global teams and complex client relationships.
She has since traveled internationally to connect with clients and teams, underscoring her belief that impact comes not just from scale, but from connection.
From startup roots to international scale
Reflecting on her journey, Soria wrote, “This isn’t settling. This is what contentment in your career can look like—when the work you do aligns with the kind of leader you’re becoming.”
With Soria officially stepping into the COO role, Outposter enters its next phase, grounded in values, guided by experience, and focused on steady, human-led growth.
What started as a lean team of 10 under the name Ziggydesk has since grown into a 200-plus-strong company with operations across the Philippines and clients in Australia, the U.S., and Europe.
Human-centric remote staffing
Outposter provides dedicated offshore talent to companies worldwide, helping clients scale their teams cost-effectively while maintaining a strong focus on culture and communication. Its services include team sourcing, operations support, and client success management, specializing in long-term, embedded remote staffing rather than transactional outsourcing.
The company is subscribed to the Outsource Accelerator (OA) Source Partner Program, a powerful tool that helps BPO firms with marketing, sales, and business intelligence.
In January, Singapore-based ZigZag Offshoring acquired Outposter.
