Outsource Fiji highlights women in tech

SUVA, FIJI — Outsourcing and investing council Outsource Fiji is gearing up for its “Women in Tech” event to highlight and celebrate the contributions of women working in Fiji’s technology industry.
Outsource Fiji Executive Director Sagufta Janif said the council’s mission is to provide women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to shape the future of the tech sector.
“We aim to empower attendees to engage in these crucial discussions and make informed decisions in an increasingly AI-driven world,” she added.
The initiative also focuses on motivating young girls to pursue careers in tech and drive innovation. Janif stressed the importance of inspiring the next generation of female leaders in technology.
The event will honor 12 exceptional women in the industry with awards recognizing their achievements. Nominations for the accolades will close next month, and Outsource Fiji will present the awards at the event in December.
Outsource Fiji serves as the industry body guiding the development of Fiji’s outsourcing sector. They aim to grow the country’s outsourcing industry further and generate more high-quality jobs, especially for women and youth.
The council currently consists of active members providing services in areas like call centers, back office operations, virtual HR, and more. Outsource Fiji works closely with the Fijian government and private sector to promote Fiji as a premier outsourcing destination.
