Outsourced expands to Malaysia, strengthens multilingual talent pool

QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES — Outsourced, a global business process outsourcing (BPO) firm, has expanded its operations into Malaysia, marking its sixth country expansion in 18 months, according to its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder, Mike Larcher.

In an exclusive interview with Outsource Accelerator, Larcher called it a strategic move designed to provide international clients with direct access to the country’s highly skilled workforce, particularly in roles such as finance, customer service, and IT, thereby enabling more sophisticated regional support structures.

He also described Malaysia as “a rising multilingual hub for CX and shared services, now competing more often on quality and language breadth, not just cost.”

“Malaysia gives clients English plus Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil coverage in one hub, which unlocks regional playbooks without spinning up three different teams,” Larcher added.

Outsourced has a presence in the Philippines and a workforce of over 1,000, serving a diverse population of more than 250 clients worldwide, including publicly traded companies. The company also provides services in India, Malaysia, Argentina, Colombia, and Vietnam.

The company ranked #143 in the OA500 2025, an objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. Outsourced is also currently subscribed to the Outsource Accelerator (OA) Source Partner Program, a powerful tool that helps BPO firms with marketing, sales, and business intelligence.

Outsourced Malaysia hub fuels global service reach

The expansion in Malaysia is expected to meet the increasing demand for multilingual support in Southeast Asia and other parts of the world. The country’s human resources have been offering skills in English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil languages; therefore, multinational corporations can consolidate what would have been done by multiple regional teams.

This language coverage will open up new regional playbooks and offer the single-hub solution to address different markets in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and South Asia regions.

This action is also a strategic component of Outsourced’s international growth strategy, which has expanded its network rapidly to cover the Philippines, India, Colombia, Argentina, and Vietnam over the last year and a half.

In a LinkedIn post, Larcher noted that Malaysia is a strategic place for:

  • Finance and accounting, AP, AR, GL, payroll
  • Customer service and CX, email, chat, voice
  • IT and software, QA, help desk, cloud support
  • Digital and eCommerce ops, content, merchandising, PPC ops
  • Procurement and vendor management, order processing, and logistics coordination
  • Research and data roles, reporting, cleansing, enrichment

Including Malaysia would allow the company to enable clients to build hybrid teams with locations that combine, depending on the requirements of the roles, language, and time coverage, all under a single vendor’s management.

“Malaysia sits in a competitive middle ground for cost, with higher value coming from language coverage and quality. The net saving for clients is still substantial versus onshore hiring, with added reach into new markets,” Larcher explained.

Multilingual Malaysia hub targets top talent

One of the main strengths of the Malaysian hub is its special labor force. Outsourced emphasizes the talent’s good command of English, customer empathy, and trust, as well as their reliable written communication skills.

The in-depth multilingual services are specifically designed for regional work, China-facing business channels, and Malay or Tamil-based brand support, directly addressing one of the main gaps in the global outsourcing market.

Outsourced employs a headhunting-based and rigorous model that focuses on passive candidates, supported by AI-enhanced recruiting tools and a professional team. This includes skills checks and interviewing clients to complete the selection process, to identify the top 1% of professionals.

The quality control process after hiring is also systematized, utilizing standardized onboarding, security measures, SOP alignment, and performance coaching, all of which are maintained by ISO 27001-certified operations to deliver equal and safe services to all clients.

“We remain [cross-industry], with strong traction in software, fintech, eCommerce, manufacturing, and consumer. Malaysia’s language mix makes it ideal for regional shared services and CX,” said Larcher.
