Over 1000 jobs will be available in Iloilo City, as a new Telus International Philippines Inc. office is scheduled to open in Mandurriao district this coming March. Telus Iloilo is the firm’s first branch outside of Metro Manila.
City Mayor Jerry Treñas said that the timely entry of Telus will help jumpstart the local economy that has also been affected by lockdowns and other restrictions due to the pandemic.
“Many of our residents had lost their jobs due to the pandemic. We are very happy to see that a lot of industries expressed their interest in investing in the city. This will help cope with the effects of the decline of the economy,” said Treñas in a statement.
