PEZA seeks for ecozone developments in NCR

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) will seek clarification from the Office of the President (OP) and other government agencies if the development of economic zones in Metro Manila is now allowed.
In a virtual briefing, PEZA Deputy Director General for Policy and Planning Tereso Panga said they need clarification as the recently-enacted Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises (CREATE) Law now allows the operations and development of eligible projects in Metro Manila.
The Office of the President issued an Administrative Order (AO) 18 in 2019 that directs PEZA to stop accepting, processing or evaluating applications for the creation of ecozones in Metro Manila.
