PH accepts highest volume of vaccines in a week

The Philippines received its highest volume of vaccine delivery in a week, with a total of 9,596,270 doses, according to vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr.
During his Talk to the People presentation, Galvez said that Sinovac has manufactured the majority of the delivered vaccines, with five million doses.
This was followed by Pfizer with over 2.7 million doses, Moderna with 961,000, AstraZeneca with 661,200, and Sputnik V doling out 190,000 second dose vaccines to the country.
The vaccine czar added that they are expecting an additional 22 million doses before the end of September or the first week of October, rounding up the total vaccine shipped to the Philippines to over 100 million doses.
Galvez also noted that the Philippines now have a “steadier supply from Sinovac, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, and COVAX.”
Meanwhile, there are already over 18.5 million fully vaccinated Filipinos as of September 20, amounting to 24.06% of the country’s target population for herd immunity.
