PH approves major IT-BPM project

PAMPANGA, PHILIPPINES — The Board of Investments (BOI) greenlights Asurion Clark’s latest IT-BPM venture in Clark Global City, Pampanga.
The project marks Asurion’s fifth in the country since 2009, an ambitious PHP813.75 million (US$14.8 million) initiative expected to boost the firm’s standing in the IT-BPM sector.
Techlog Center LLC, an associate company of Asurion and BOI-registered since January, will extend its BPO services to the United States (U.S.), United Kingdom (UK), and the Asia Pacific through this new project.
The company’s industry partners attended the project’s launch. Infrastructure and Services Industries Service (ISIS) Acting Director Annie Raganit represented the BOI, who attended the inauguration and had an informal discussion with Asurion’s officials during the event.
“We take pride in having Asurion/Techlog Center LLC – West Aeropark Clark Global City as a BOI registered enterprise beginning 18 January 2023 for bringing FDI in the country and providing more career opportunities for our fellow Filipinos,” said Raganit.
The new venture is expected to create about 1,560 jobs, propelling national economic growth. Currently, Asurion employs over 5,000 staff in its Philippine units and serves over 300 million customers worldwide with its global workforce of 25,000.
The event underlines the Philippines’ potential to attract global industry giants and echoes BOI’s commitment to fostering quality job opportunities through strategic investments.
