PH economy may recover under GCQ – DTI

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez stated that Metro Manila and its nearby provinces’ shift to the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) may allow the economy to recover “somewhere between about P2 billion to P30 billion.”
Though with ‘heightened restrictions, Lopez said that the movement towards GCQ “will still help us on the way back to recovery,” adding that since other sectors were reopened, they could lead to “bringing back more jobs.”
DTI, together with the Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Health, will still monitor health and safety protocol in these reopened establishments.
