PH needs to do more to attract FDIs – MAP

The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) said “there is still so much to do” to attract foreign direct investments (FDI), apart from the Senate approval of the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises Act (CREATE) bill.
At The 9th Arangkada Philippines Online Forum 2020 on Foreign Investment in the Post-Pandemic Philippines, MAP President Francisco ED Lim cautioned against benchmarking efforts in attracting FDIs with what had been done in the past, adding that the Philippines should benchmark against what other countries are doing.
While businesses remain optimistic, Lim said that “we have to do much more than our ASEAN counterparts and consistently at that, lest we will not be able to catch up with them in attracting foreign direct investments to the Philippines.”
