PH online hiring up 11% in April
Online recruitment in the Philippines rose by 11% year-on-year in April 2022, according to data from the Monster Employment Index (MEI).
The BFSI (Banking, financial services, and insurance) sector took the lead in online hiring activities as it jumped by 26%. It is also the industry that charted the steepest demand for talent annually.
Meanwhile, the Retail industry remained one of the strongest sectors as it grew by 22%, followed by the Advertising, MR, PR, Media & Entertainment sector by 13%.
On the other hand, the logistics/courier/ freight/ transportation industry fared the worst demand in online hiring in April 2022 as it went down by 20%.
The education and hospitality sectors also recorded decreases of 10% and 5%, respectively.
At the same time, online recruitment activity edged up in all of the 10 functional areas monitored by the Index.
The Index is a comprehensive monthly and quarterly analysis of online job posting activity conducted by the employment website Monster India.
