PH reaches 10M vaccination mark

Over 10 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated as of August 4, according to testing czar Secretary Vince Dizon.
Dizon, who is the deputy chief implementer of the National Task Force (NTF) Against Covid-19, announced that more than 22 million doses have been administered to over 12 million individuals since inoculation started last March.
He added that the daily vaccination target of 500,000 has been surpassed on July 28, reaching its record-high last August 3 with 702,013 jabs.
The fully vaccinated individuals account for 13% of the government’s 77.7 million vaccination target and is estimated to be 9.3% of the Philippine population.
This current milestone was celebrated in a “ceremonial vaccination” led by the Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III at SM Megamall last Thursday.
