PH tech-voc participates in Worldskills Competition 2022

Fifteen Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) graduates will participate in the Wordskills Competition 2022 special edition from October to November of this year.
The graduates will compete with representatives from France, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, South Korea, Japan and Austria in a fifteen skill competition.
The categories that they will be competing on are 3D Digital Game Art, Bakery, Beauty Therapy, Cooking, Electrical Installations, Graphic Design Technology, Hairdressing, IT Software Solutions for Business, Mechanical Engineering CAD, Optoelectronic Technology, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Restaurant Service, Hotel Reception, Automobile Technology, and Information Network Cabling.
“The country’s participation in international skills competitions will help ensure that the country’s tech-voc training remains on level with worldwide standards,” TESDA Director General Danilo Cruz said.
Moreover, Cruz mentions that the participation will benefit the delegates, alongside their respective coaches, to identify the importance of their skills and which areas need further improvement in a global standard.
