PH urged to approve $7.5-B worth concession projects

The Philippine government is being urged to approve and implement five concession projects worth $7.5 billion in partnership with Japan.
During a virtual briefing, Global Trade Venture (GTV) and Tokushima Auction Market (TAM) Network, said that the joint ventures are important for the country’s economic recovery post-pandemic.
These proposed projects include a fish farm, aqua parks and air logistics, digital satellite network, regional medical center, and artificial parks.
Yoshihisa Arai, president and CEO of GTV and TAM Japan, said they are only waiting for detailed discussions with the governments of both countries.
Senior consultant of GTV Group Kazuo Sato shared that these project plans are almost complete and they have already begun talking with several local government units (LGUs).
Sato added that the implementation of these investments will largely depend on the decision of the Philippine government
