PH voters most concerned about economy, jobs – PUBLiCUS Asia
Filipino voters are mostly concerned with the state of the economy and the job market in the country, according to the latest national survey of PUBLiCUS Asia Inc.
The survey, which was conducted between February 11-16 with 1,500 participants, showed that 65% of respondents want to know more about how a candidate would revive the economy, while 56% are curious about possible employment opportunities.
Meanwhile, 34% of Filipino voters are concerned about education, followed by poverty (24.4%), and corruption (23.8%).
PUBLiCUS Asia Executive Director Aureli Sinsuat said that this trend is “most likely a consequence of the economic slowdown” in the Philippines since the pandemic started in early 2020.
He added that the candidates who are vying for a national position should release a detailed platform about these issues to grab the interest of the Filipino population.
