PwC to allow full-time remote work to US employees

Accounting and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will allow its 40,000 US-based employees to work virtually permanently in an effort to attract, retain talent and promote diversity in the workplace.
PwC Deputy People Leader Yolanda Seals-Coffield said that the firm was the first in its industry to make permanent remote work available to client services employees.
Seals-Coffield added that employees who choose to work virtually would still need to come into the office for only three days per month for in-person appointments, meetings, client visits, and learning sessions.
However, workers who opt to work virtually full-time from a lower-cost location would see their pay decrease.
PwC currently has a total of 55,000 US employees. With this new policy, it is expected that the majority will decide to work remotely despite the salary decrease.
