Random testing now required for Iloilo call centers

After 89 workers were revealed to be positive for COVID-19. Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas has now required random testing of call center employees in the city.
“We need to be proactive and require random testing in their call centers. We need to do it right away to ensure the safety of everyone,” Treñas said in a message posted on the city government’s official Facebook page on Thursday.
The latest result of the city’s Uswag Molecular Laboratory showed that 89 employees of HGS have tested positive for the virus, 31 of which were released on March 17 and the rest were from the results released as of noon of March 18.
Currently, Iloilo City houses 35 business process outsourcing companies.
