Relode partners with epocrates to address healthcare staffing shortage

TENNESSEE, UNITED STATES — Medical recruitment firm Relode and healthcare-focused app epocrates have teamed up for a recruitment engine to address the healthcare staffing deficit.
Both firms aim to redefine healthcare staffing through an app that streamlines and accelerates the recruitment process for employees and employers.
The app connects healthcare firms to over one million healthcare professionals. They can directly hire from the app and also open additional income streams for interested candidates. An incentive system is also in place to push candidates to tap into their professional network for referrals.
“Our innovative partnership with epocrates streamlines the hiring process by enabling healthcare professionals to easily apply for jobs or refer peers directly from an app they already use,” says Peter Clare, Chief Executive Officer of Relode. “This is essential given the healthcare industry’s high turnover rates and ongoing labor shortages.”
Data from Elsevier Health’s Clinician of the Future shows that 47% of healthcare workers are planning to leave their positions by 2025.
Additional data from Definitive Healthcare shows that 117,000 physicians left the workforce in 2021, followed by nurse practitioners with 53,295 departures, and physician assistants with 22,704 departures.
Citing a study from the American Nurses Foundation, epocrates Executive Director of Customer Experience & Commercial Consulting Bridget Seay noted that 41% of nurses are considering leaving their position due to heavy workloads caused by insufficient staffing.
Relode and epocrates claim that over 1,000 healthcare professionals have used the app within the first two weeks of launching.
epocrates is a medical reference application used by physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. It contains information that aids these professionals with regard to their decisions about drug interactions, medical calculations, diagnosis and treatment options, among others.
Meanwhile, Relode harnesses AI to aid healthcare firms in their recruitment needs, allowing them to cut costs, yield higher return-on-investments, and create more efficient healthcare services for clients across the United States.
