Remote work opened career opportunities to all genders — study

TEXAS, UNITED STATES — The adoption of remote working arrangements opened more opportunities for career advancement across gender lines, said worklife platform Care.com and Mother Honestly. 

According to their recently published Modern Workplace Report, 77% of respondents believe that remote working helped them advance their careers regardless of their genders. 

Meanwhile, over 75% reported a better quality of life under hybrid and remote work schedules, with 58% of managers and 55% of workers saying their productivity rates increased.

Care.com and Mother Honestly surveyed 1,000 employees who act as caregivers and 500 C-suite executives and human resource decision-makers. 

The study also revealed that 66% of the workers surveyed reported being able to work from home more now than pre-pandemic. 

The new workplace norms also positively impact women, as flexible work has created more balance in household responsibilities.
