ReSource Pro buys Propellint, boosts tech services

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — ReSource Pro, a strategic operations partner for insurance organizations, has acquired Hartford-based Propellint, a boutique technology firm that implements and supports insurance platforms such as Insurity’s ClaimsXPress and Workers’ Comp Suite.
The all-cash deal adds Propellint’s 13-person team and deep data-migration know-how to ReSource Pro’s growing technology services portfolio.
“Propellint’s deep implementation expertise and focus on operational execution align well with our vision for expanding technology services at ReSource Pro,” said Dan Epstein, CEO of ReSource Pro.
Epstein says the acquisition builds on ReSource Pro’s earlier integration of Helix Agency Services and represents a continued investment in the intersection of operations and technology.
“By continuing to strengthen our capabilities across multiple platforms, we’re delivering flexible, vendor-neutral solutions that help clients modernize, scale, and compete more effectively,” he explained.
Complementary services and shared vision
Founded in 2020, Propellint helps carriers, MGAs, and brokers overcome legacy-system hurdles through core-system rollouts, third-party integrations, and post-go-live support.
“We’ve built our business around helping insurers implement and optimize the platforms that power their operations. With ReSource Pro’s scale, resources, and deep industry expertise, we’re now in an even stronger position to expand that impact,” said Propellint co-founder Jason McHugh.
What the combined firm offers
- Technology & data: Core-system implementation, data migrations, AI, RPA and API integrations.
- Operations & process: Workflow optimization, managed services, and compliance support.
- People & strategy: On-demand talent and consulting to help insurers streamline back-office chores and unlock growth.
By knitting Propellint’s system-integration skill set into its own operations-and-technology matrix, ReSource Pro says it can “bring more value to more clients, faster, smarter, and with greater flexibility.”
Global footprint and financial scale
The acquisition gives Propellint access to ReSource Pro’s global resources. The New York-headquartered outsourcer employs more than 11,000 people in 15 offices across six countries—the United States, China, India, Serbia, Mexico, and, shortly, the Philippines—and serves 1,800+ carriers, brokers, wholesalers, and MGAs. Independent estimates put ReSource Pro’s annual revenue at about US$358 million.
