ReSource Pro buys compliance provider Supportive Insurance Services

NEW YORK and INDIANA, UNITED STATES — ReSource Pro, a strategic operations partner for the insurance industry, has acquired Supportive Insurance Services (SIS), a specialist in licensing and renewal services.
In its press release, Resource Pro said that the acquisition, finalized with Morgan Partners and TAG Financial Institutions Group as advisors, will create a comprehensive suite of compliance solutions for insurance clients, leveraging technology to streamline complex regulatory processes.
Streamlining insurance licensing and compliance workflows
ReSource Pro is a strategic operations partner specializing in the insurance industry, serving over 2,000 carriers, brokers, and MGAs with workflow optimization and technology solutions. The company has achieved a retention rate of more than 96%.
A specialized compliance partner is now augmenting this foundational strength. Supportive Insurance Services (SIS), an insurance licensing and renewal firm established in 2001, specializes in assisting insurance agents nationwide with licensing and renewal services.
SIS leverages over 20 years of experience among its staff to identify effective ways of navigating complex state-specific regulations, ensuring client compliance, and minimizing administrative stress.
Integrating insurance compliance solutions
Through the combination of SIS’s intensive expertise in adjuster licensing and renewal services and ReSource Pro’s expertise in surplus lines tax filings and corporate tax reporting, the new company now addresses a wider range of regulatory issues.
This is an integrated solution that will eliminate functional gaps between insurers, brokers, and agents, providing them with a single platform to meet their necessary compliance requirements.
This acquisition directly addresses key industry pain points, including navigating complex state-specific regulations and avoiding penalties.
“Compliance is a complex and often misunderstood area of insurance,” said Dan Epstein, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ReSource Pro.
He adds, “By bringing SIS into ReSource Pro, we are leveraging deep insurance expertise supported by technology, to help our clients stay compliant and ahead of new requirements.”
The move aims to utilize integrated technology to facilitate the sharing of data, reduce the number of manuals required, and ensure the smooth operation of compliance activities, thereby minimizing operational disruptions. This end-to-end model will provide clients with a more effective and dependable route to continuous licensure, meeting all regulatory requirements.
Growing insurance capabilities through strategic acquisitions
The acquisition of SIS is just one of the recent acquisitions, such as Lowry and Associates, which provides premium audit services, and Propellent, which integrates Insurity systems, a consistent trend of increasing capabilities through the insurance value chain.
Strategic scaling is not only limited to offering services but also encompasses expertise and accessibility to clients.
“Joining ReSource Pro allows us to bring that same focus and expertise to an even broader set of challenges at greater scale. Our clients will benefit from expanded resources while continuing to receive the personal service and accuracy they’ve come to expect,” explained Jeff Brinkmann, CEO of SIS.
This expansion represents a strategic scaling designed to seamlessly integrate enhanced capabilities and expertise across the full insurance value chain, ensuring clients receive both scaled resources and a consistently personalized service.
