NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES — Revuud, a tech-enabled workforce partner for healthcare organizations, has acquired RoundTable Strategic Solutions, adding about 12,000 consultants and professionals to its network.
RoundTable is a healthcare-focused talent and consulting firm. It places specialists in healthcare IT, revenue cycle, interim leadership, medical coding and billing, and other workforce areas.
RoundTable folds into Revuud
RoundTable Strategic Solutions will transition fully into the Revuud brand, Revuud said in a press release on Oct. 27. Its team will continue with Revuud across customer success, talent and sales.
Existing clients and consultants will keep working with their current contacts, the company said.
Platform or white glove
Revuud says the combination gives healthcare organizations more flexibility in how they access specialized talent.
Clients can work directly through the Revuud platform for more visibility and control, use a customer success team for hands-on support, or combine both.
For consultants, Revuud said, the larger network brings visibility across more healthcare organizations and more potential assignments.
Technology with people in the loop
“Healthcare organizations shouldn’t have to choose between great technology and great service,” said Dan Schubert, CEO and co-founder of Revuud.
He said bringing RoundTable together with Revuud gives the company an opportunity to offer “the speed, visibility, and flexibility of technology with experienced people still very much in the loop.”
“The future isn’t technology replacing relationships,” Schubert added. “It’s using technology to make those relationships more valuable, more scalable, and easier for healthcare organizations to access.”
RoundTable’s view
“RoundTable has always been built around relationships, trust, and finding the right people for our clients,” said Scott Ketchen, vice president of business development at Revuud.
He said joining Revuud lets the team keep doing that while adding technology, a broader talent network and new capabilities.
A shift in how hospitals buy talent
Revuud frames the deal as part of a wider change in how healthcare organizations use external talent.
As workforce needs grow more specialized and priorities shift faster, some organizations want to search for and engage talent directly. Others want a trusted partner to manage the process, and many will do both.
Revuud combines a workforce platform, a network of pre-vetted healthcare professionals, AI-powered tools and customer support.
What it means for buyers
For hospitals that bring in outside experts for revenue cycle or IT projects, the deal puts a large consultant bench behind a self-service platform, with the option to keep a managed relationship.
