Seda’s second property targets BPO workers

Seda, AyalaLand’s homegrown hotel brand, said it will open its second property in Cebu city this month to cater to employees from the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry. The 214-room Seda Central Bloc will be located within the integrated AyalaLand Central Bloc community in the Cebu IT Park.
Andrea Mastellone, senior group general manager, said the hotel will target BPO firms located in the IT Park district and those that plan to expand to Cebu in the next five years. The serviced residences at Seda Central Bloc will specifically serve young professionals and managers in the BPO industry who want to stay long-term, while its hotel rooms will target a broader market of leisure and business visitors.
Mastellone explained that high hotel occupancy rates reflecting unserved demand pushed the development of the Central Bloc hotel, citing the BPO industry as one of the demand drivers as well as multinational firms and large Philippine corporations based in Manila that have operations in Cebu.
