Sen. Zubiri promotes PH to EU stakeholders

Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri is inviting stakeholders from the European Union (EU) to invest in the Philippines as the country has “so much to offer, given its potential and recent growth.”
In a message sent to the members of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) and to the ambassadors who were present, Zubiri said that his meeting with some European leaders showed that “there are many possibilities of bilateral cooperation with a lot of sectors within the European Union.”
The various opportunities are trade and manufacturing, foreign investments, tourism, post-Covid recovery, nuclear energy, climate change mitigation, and defense.
He also added that related stakeholders in nuclear technology in France are very much willing to help the Philippines in research and developing cheaper energy machinery and technology that will fit the Philippines’ layout.
On another note, Zubiri said he and the other senators had also promoted the Philippines’s tourism sector following the lifting of pandemic restrictions worldwide.
“We also want to court our European tourists to world-renowned destinations to the Philippines as we have also [had] so much to offer not only for our natural wonders but also in terms of cultural exchange and culinary experiences,” he expounded.
