Serco celebrates 25 years of partnership with Royal Navy

British outsourcing giant Serco is celebrating its 25th year of working with the Royal Navy by disclosing its operations in nearly 100 vessels across six sites in the UK — including Portsmouth, Plymouth, Falmouth, Faslane, and two at Inner Raasay Sound.
Serco’s maritime and aviation capability director Rob Hales said that he is incredibly proud of the partnership noting that they “provide an extraordinary level of service to the Royal Navy, delivering over 99% of tasks on time under some very demanding conditions.
Hales added that he is looking forward to continuing this partnership in the next few years, highlighting the company’s increasing global maritime presence to innovate for their UK customers.
The outsourcing firm operates vessels ranging in length from 11m to 93m and from 12 to 3,600 gross tonnes.
Additionally, the company’s 600 skilled mariners provide services at the naval bases at Portsmouth, Devonport, Falmouth, Faslane, and the BUTEC Ranges in the Kyle of Lochalsh, as well as worldwide.
Throughout their 25 year contract with the Royal Navy, Serco has been part of many significant milestones in the fleet’s history.
