Serco appoints Head of Emergency Services for the Middle East

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA—IT services and outsourcing firm Serco has nominated Teren Tan for the newly created leadership role of Head of Emergency Services for the Middle East.
This move comes as the company continues to expand its emergency services operations across the region.
In his new position, Tan will oversee Serco’s full suite of emergency services, which includes delivering training, operational services, resilience advisory, and crisis management.
He will manage a team of over 200 professionals currently working on emergency services projects in the Middle East.

“As Head of Emergency Services, I am [energized] to further Serco’s vision and impact a better future by enhancing our emergency services offerings and improving safety within the countries in which we work,” stated Tan.
Samantha Rowles, Operations Director-Transport for Serco Middle East, praised Tan’s “track record of innovation and leadership in the emergency services domain,” which has contributed to Serco’s recent success.
Serco currently operates emergency services across five projects in Saudi Arabia’s giga cities and the UAE. It specializes in outsourcing services across various sectors like defense, justice, immigration, transport, healthcare, and citizen services.
