SLASSCOM to organize IT/BPM career fair
COLOMBO, SRI LANKA — The Sri Lanka Association for Software Services Companies (SLASSCOM) collaborates with Eastern and Southeastern Universities in Sri Lanka to host a career fair for the Information Technology/Business Process Management (IT/BPM) sector.
The IT/BPM Career Fair 2023 will occur from May 30th to June 1st, with the first two days hosted at Eastern University in Chenkalady and the remaining days at Southeastern University in Oluvil.
SLASSCOM General Council Member Jehan Perera shared that the career fair has been designed to cater to the region’s unique needs, offering a wide range of activities such as awareness sessions, tech talks, workshops, job interviews, internships, and career opportunities.
The event aims to provide participants valuable insights into the latest IT/BPM trends and the practical skills needed to thrive in this rapidly evolving industry. It will serve as a platform for students, recent graduates, and seasoned professionals to learn, network, and advance their careers in the dynamic world of IT/BPM.
“Our aim is to make this event a unique opportunity for students, industry professionals and other stakeholders to come together and discuss the current state and future prospects of the IT/BPM industry,” Perera added.
