South Africa’s BPO sector ready to support the UK amid energy crisis

South Africa’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry is ready to support the United Kingdom in its unprecedented energy crisis that challenges energy regulators in finding new suppliers for affected customers.
Clinton Cohen, CEO of SA-based outsourcing provider iContact BPO, said that more than restoring the energy supply for customers, the UK is also facing the problem of managing the transition of “hundreds of thousands” of new customers to new suppliers.
Cohen added that “BPO businesses are geared for exactly this kind of situation where rapid scale, business continuity, and professional delivery are crucial…”
South Africa is currently the third-largest offshore location for the UK and Australian organizations. Along with its quality of service, cultural affinity, and great work ethic, the country’s outsourcing sector also provides its partners with up to 60% cost savings.
Cohen added that the partnership between the UK’s energy sector and SA’s BPO industry is a “crucial consideration at a time when UK energy suppliers are under enormous cost, time and operational pressures.”
