Staffing ranked top hiring industry in 28 countries

NOORD-BRABANT, THE NETHERLANDS — Staffing has emerged as the number one industry for job advertisements in over 25 countries around the world, according to a new analysis by Resume.io.
The career services platform analyzed LinkedIn data on job ads across 28 countries worldwide. It found staffing and recruiting firms consistently dominating hiring across global job markets amid widespread talent shortages.
In the United States, staffing represented 7.86% of all job ads, ranking second behind restaurants. Meanwhile, healthcare led hiring in Canada, construction in the United Kingdom at 9.22%, and government administration in Australia with 11.6% of job postings.
This hiring frenzy reflects “a ‘Great Reshuffle,’ with more hirings than resignations,” says Resume.io.
“The world of work is a jigsaw puzzle of dynamic markets. In the current post-pandemic, emergent-artificial intelligence (AI) period, the jobs that are available today may vary greatly from those available in a year or more.”
Meanwhile, the International Labour Organization foresees rising inequality as workers accept insecure jobs amidst slowing economies.
Founded in 2011, Resume.io provides resume building services and job search tools to over 5 million users across North America, Europe, and Australia. It generates estimated annual revenues between $2-5 million.
